A British legacy, rooted in Kerala, shared with the world.

From the mist-covered hills of Ponmudi to discerning buyers across the globe, Invercauld has spent over 160 years cultivating one of the world's most respected names in fine teas and premium spices. And we are only just beginning.

Where it all began

Nestled in the golden hills of Ponmudi, Kerala, the Invercauld Estate is one of the region's oldest and most cherished plantations. Established in the 1860s, when British planters first brought the craft of tea cultivation to South India, Invercauld carries a heritage that is at once colonial in origin and deeply, wholly Keralan in spirit.

Since taking over, three generations have devoted themselves to this land, passing down not just technique but a living philosophy: that truly exceptional teas and spices are grown with knowledge, patience, and heart. The estate's high elevation, mineral-rich soil, and cool monsoon climate yield leaves and spices of remarkable vibrancy, aroma, and purity.

From our roots to the world's finest tables

What began as a single family estate in the hills of Ponmudi has grown into something far greater. We are not a broker, a trader, or a middleman. We are a sourcing partner, built on expertise, driven by quality, and committed to relationships that last. We work directly with generational farming families across South India, the Western Ghats, and the world's great growing regions.

By eliminating unnecessary intermediaries, we guarantee complete traceability for our buyers, fair returns for our farmers, and products that arrive exactly as nature and skill intended.

"A direct bridge from the farm to the world, so that every cup, every grain, and every experience tells an honest story of provenance, passion, and purpose."
Purpose in every seed. Generosity in every harvest.

At Invercauld, we hold a simple and enduring conviction: the communities who grow what we sell deserve to share in its success. A portion of every bag, every blend, and every order goes directly back to the communities whose knowledge, labour, and love make all of this possible, and beyond.

From education, homes, and healthcare programmes for estate families to sustainability initiatives protecting the forests and ecosystems of the Western Ghats, our community commitments are not a footnote. They are woven into every transaction and agreement.
